Easter weekend is upon us.
As Christians, this is the time that we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus from the grave. We celebrate that once and for all He conquered death and took away its stinging ability.
We also celebrate that “he raised US from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.” (Ephesians 2:6 NLT)
According to John 10:10 “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy…”
There is a thief who has been at work trying to steal, kill and destroy in your life. He may have succeeded, at least a little.
If so:
What has been stolen from you?
What has been destroyed in your life?
What of your calling and purpose has died inside you?
The same resurrection power that raised Jesus from the dead 2,000 years ago is able to resurrect what has been stolen, destroyed and killed in your life. Just as life was restored to Jesus, your life can be restored to you. That’s the power of resurrection.
Celebrate resurrection this weekend.
Celebrate its power.
Celebrate what it means for you.
“… trust God to do what only God could do: raise the dead to life, with a word make something out of nothing.” (Romans 4:17 MSG)

When I confront this truth I am usually started by the realiztion of how much my “dailies” can distract, or draw my eyes to a place that falls far short of what He has made available. So thankful for these times to regroup, life up my eyes and behold and reach for that higher place by faith in His finished work.
Blessings
Great thought, Nancy. thanks!
