View From Under The Bus

Have you ever been unexpectedly “thrown under the bus?” Not literally – at least I hope not for your sake.

How did you like the view?

Whether you earned it and got “sold out” for something you did, or became a convenient victim of blame-shifting, you know how it feels. All of a sudden you’re in the hot seat. It’s all on you. Under the bus is not a great view. Not a great feeling, either. Mistrust, distrust or whatever you want to call it, will breed like wildfire – especially in a highly competitive culture.

If you’re a leader, change your culture. Promote a team mentality. Lead by example and demonstrate that you have the backs of your co-workers. If you’re not the leader, you can choose not to participate. Even if you’re in a competitive, back-stabbing environment SOMEBODY has to be the grown-up.

Why not you?

Maybe the culture shift begins with you. Be the one to break the cycle. Choose to live a different way.

Love covers. Even when they may not deserve it.

Wow. It's Quiet Here...
